Land Struggle by TNUEF in Dharmapuri

The Tamil Nadu Untouchability Eradication Front (TNUEF) led a massive protest for land reclamation in Pennagaram town of Dharmapuri district. 345 Dalit families participated in this protest demanding land for livelihood. The protest was a big  success.

The RDO along with other officials arrived at Pennagramam. They have identified and measured 8.77 acres of land. A committee has been formed, with 11 members including officials from the Revenue Department along with TNUEF members. Preparation for providing patta in one month’s time has been made.

Speaking at the site of protest, Comrade Samuel Raj, the State Secretary of TNUEF, said, “Land is our right. And the fight for land will continue”.
